Chair and Trustee recruitment

Chair

Right There are looking to appoint a new Chair of their board. This instrumental role will support the Chief Executive and the organisation to meet its charitable and strategic objectives. Given the responsibility for the leadership of the board, the Chair will ensure effectiveness across the team. In addition, they work to ensure proper governance, statutory obligations, and regulations as well as the long-term direction of the charity. Fostering positive relationships, they will encourage engagement and discussion between trustees and the executive team.

We are looking for an individual with a strong passion for the values of Right There: compassion, respect, integrity, aspiration, and reflection. Relationship building and networking capabilities as well as diplomacy skills are sought after. You will be a great listener and have senior leadership experience within the public, private or third sectors. You will have a background in another board position, ideally as Chair or Vice Chair and have a transformation and growth mindset. Beyond this, an understanding of third sector of governance and financial issues would be helpful.

Trustee

Right There are also looking to appoint new Trustees to their board. Supporting the Chief executive and the Chair, the new trustees will help to ensure Right There meets its charitable objectives. They will develop and network effectively, building positive relationships with the leadership team and existing board members. This includes carrying out ambassadorial responsibilities to develop Right There’s profile to stakeholders.

You will be a great listener and have senior management or professional experience within the public, private or third sectors. Understanding of business transformation or finance would be desirable.
