Thank you very much for your interest in the role of Chair of the Board of Trustees for Right There.

Our charity is guided by the belief that everyone has an equal chance to create a safe and supportive place to call home – not just a roof over their head but a place where they feel protected and accepted.

We have been at the forefront of supporting people and communities since 1824, and we support more than 4,000 children, families, and individuals each year – people experiencing poverty, homelessness, addiction or broken relationships.

Building on extensive experience, we undertook a strategic review in 2021. Working with the people we support, 200 staff, volunteers, donors and supporters, the aim was to strengthen and grow our offer, and provide the right support at the right time for people in a complex “post-pandemic” world.

On 1 April 2022, we launched our new 5-year strategy – Growing Together – together with a new name for our charity and visual identity. We are Right There, and we are focused not only on recovering from the impact of Covid-19, but on thriving and continuing to invest in our programmes, people and processes, to enable us to help prevent more people becoming homeless or separated from the people they love.

This role will lead the Board and contribute to the future success of the organisation as it embarks on our Growing Together strategic plan. Right There is a unique organisation, filled with some truly amazing people who are driven by our values and the desire to support people to achieve their aims.
