Edinburgh College Students’ Association (ECSA) represents the 27,000 students of Edinburgh College: ECSA works in partnership with college management, the Scottish Government and is a member of the National Union of Students (NUS). 

ECSA covers all campuses of the college and have offices in each of the main four. They’re run by a team of four sabbatical officers and a team of dedicated ECSA staff.   ECSA has one President and three Vice-Presidents who cover the remits of Education, Welfare and Women.  The officers are responsible for working across all of Edinburgh College on all campuses and work closely with the volunteer Executive Officers. 

It is ECSA’s role to promote, defend and extend the rights of all its Students.

 

External Trustees x 2

They are now seeking to recruit two External Trustees to be full members of their Board, advising Student and Sabbatical Trustees, and actively contributing to the strategic leadership of the largest FE Students’ Association in the UK.

The Trustees will advise on financial, strategic and governance issues, ensuring long-term sustainability and viability for the organisation in a challenging financial climate.

The Board works with the elected student officers to direct and oversee the Students’ Association. Trustees play a valuable part in shaping the long term direction for their evolving and unique Association.  They are looking for a broad range of experience with particular interest or expertise in equalities, FE Sector, legal, charity, public sector and strategic development.

Please note that these positions are unremunerated.
