We are currently recruiting two Maintenance Officers to join the team at Viewpoint and work with the Senior Maintenance Officer. The first position will be a permanent role and will primarily involved assisting the Senior Maintenance Officer in ensuring that the agreed standard of service delivery on day-to-day reactive maintenance and planned and cyclical maintenance is applied throughout the Association’s properties. You will be responsible for ensuring that contractors maintain the necessary standards and ensuring all work complies with best practice. Effective communication is essential and you should have some experience in a similar role within the social housing industry. We are offering the second position on a 12 month fixed term basis, with a view to the individual being responsible for the management and administration of the Association’s compliance performance framework and planned programme works.

The successful candidate for both roles will benefit from being qualified to HNC/SVQ Level 3 in construction or a related discipline, though this is not essential. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and sound knowledge of all relevant legislation and good practice including health and safety, in addition to a flexible working approach. A current clean driving license is also required.
