The Lead Officer Project role will lead, co-ordinate and ensure delivery of the Ayrshire Growth Deal (AGD) commercial build portfolio on behalf of South Ayrshire Council.  You will be working across the Economy and Regeneration Service as part of the AGD team, leading the creation of opportunities to deliver commercial investment projects.  You will be required to provide specialist property expertise and develop and deliver all relevant strategies and plans.  The Ayrshire Growth Deal presents a major opportunity to strengthen the Ayrshire, Scottish and UK economies.  Targeted co-ordinated investment throughout the region will act as a powerful catalyst to stimulate growth, resulting in increased job opportunities and prosperity for Ayrshire, for Scotland and for the UK as a whole.

The role will include:
  • Market analysis
  • Land assembly
  • Commercial / Industrial space development
  • Finance and project management
  • Management of development agreements
  • Engage and oversee multi organisation / service project teams
  • Procure and manage consultants as and when required to support the development and implementation of projects

You should have experience of leading a team, delivering a complex portfolio of projects and strong stakeholder management skills.  Travel between locations will be necessary for this position.  Applicants should possess good IT, communication and customer service skills, and be willing to work flexibly across a variety of disciplines.
