Interim Director of Estates and Facilities
Aspen People is actively seeking to appoint an Interim Director of Estates and Facilities Management for a temporary period of approximately 6 – 9 months, in the midst of a transitional phase.
In this role your primary responsibility will be to oversee the complete spectrum of estates and facilities services provided to the organisation. This encompasses estates management and maintenance, facilities management, catering, cleaning, transport, sustainability, energy, and environmental initiatives.
The successful candidate will assume strategic leadership of the Estates Team and collaborate closely with the Head of Estates to establish clear performance objectives and cultivate a culture that aligns with the organisation’s values. Furthermore, you will supervise the ongoing restructuring efforts within the Estates Team while ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional services throughout the Estates function.
The ideal candidate will hold professional qualifications and possess relevant leadership experience. A track record of achieving operational efficiencies in managing financial, physical, and human resources, as well as a demonstrated ability to drive substantial enhancements in a customer service-oriented setting, is imperative.
Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills are a must, as you will engage with senior management and qualified professionals, both internally and externally. You should bring experience in contributing to comprehensive organisational change initiatives and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
Moreover, you should have a history of executing major capital programs for large, complex organisations. You must exhibit an understanding of effective procurement, governance, and budgetary compliance pertaining to public-sector building projects.
Any prior experience in spearheading a Net Zero strategy would be considered advantageous.
