The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) was founded in 1995 and is the professional association for registered Prosthetists and Orthotists in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. With just over 630 members, BAPO is the smallest UK Allied Health Profession (AHP) Association representing the smallest UK AHP profession.

The Association is run by a volunteer Executive Committee (EC) elected by the membership. The EC provides oversight of several professional committees, which deliver the association’s activities, including events, publications, professional standards, and research.

The BAPO are currently going through a significant period of change and as a result of this the Interim CEO will provide strategic leadership to the team and the key deliverables of this role will be a change management process and will involve implementing the recommendations from a review undertaken by a contracted consultancy.

You’ll have a strong background within change management, be able to review and implement change proactively and sensitively, have excellent communication skills, be able to analyse highly complex facts and situations to conclude the possible outcomes, you will have a strong background in formulating long – term strategic plans across the whole of a business and good understanding of a member led organisation will be beneficial.
