We are recruiting for a HR & Organisation Development Manager:  the post-holder will be a key member of our management team ensuring excellent delivery of internal services to the association and its subsidiaries.

Shettleston is a leading community based housing association, and a Scottish Charity, which has played a major role in the regeneration of the local area for over 40 years.  We have a track record of providing excellent housing and community services with 2,300 tenanted homes now in management and factoring another 1241.  We have plans to develop another 138 new affordable homes in the coming three years and for substantial ongoing investment in our existing homes to ensure they continue to meet the highest possible standards.    We have established three wholly owned subsidiaries:  Upkeep Shettleston Community Enterprises; Upkeep Recycling; and East End Housing Development Company.    The Association directly employs 53 FTE staff with a further 42 FTE staff employed elsewhere within the Group.

As part of a structure review the above position has been created to lead the HR & Organisational Development team through this time of change and contribute to the strategic direction of the business area.

This position will have responsibility for Human Resource Management, personal development / training, and internal process improvement. It will also be responsible for health and safety management and other areas of corporate compliance, including in relation to data management and the requirements of the GDPR.

The post holder will ensure a high standard of delivery in relation to the services provided to the Executive and senior management team. The role also holds responsibility for four office based staff and the office management function.

The Association is overseen by a volunteer Management Committee and the post will have some governance support duties relating to servicing Committee meetings and the ongoing training/development of Members

We are looking for an inspirational leader, committed to the ethos and values of the Association, who will develop and provide direction to the HR & OD team whilst supporting and developing the wider organisation.

The post holder will be CIPD qualified and have strong experience in Human Resources. The ideal candidate will possess experience of organisational development, and change management.
