Castle Water are presenting a great opportunity to join the management team as Head of Risk & Quality. The individual will oversee the Quality and Risk Management framework across castle Water and be the go to expert for all things Quality and Risk.
As Head of Risk and Quality you will be responsible for identifying emerging risks, and ensuring the enduring Risk Management Framework is delivered effectively. You will ensure it covers all necessary requirements and codes and extensively supports the wider team in the delivery of crucial programmes and activities.
You will be working across all business areas and supporting them in the development and delivery of the Operational Risk Management Frameworks, acting as a point of contact for risk advice, and support. You will review their actions and challenge when required.
You’ll be required to manage routine risk and assurance activities, identifying and escalating problems where necessary, and reporting issues to senior management when required. You will hold responsibility for all Risk and Quality reporting and be responsible for providing regular updates to the executive team and the Board on the effectiveness of internal controls and the risk management framework.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders and will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will be able to prioritise effectively to deliver at pace and collaborate effectively with the senior leadership team and the board.
In addition to the Risk Management Framework you will be responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS) and all ISO certifications across the business. From development, management and embedment and continuous improvement of the QMS. The post holder will deliver comprehensively on all aspects of Quality Management for Castle Water and a large part of the role will include engaging and supporting the wider business areas to maintain and effective QMS for their business activities.
You will be able to demonstrate a firm grasp of quality management practices. We are looking for someone who possesses a high level of attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and strong analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to articulate risk appropriately to a range of audiences, including at executive level with the role reporting directly to the CFO. Strong leadership skills are essential; the effective management of all relationships, internal and external, will be crucial to the success of this role.
Candidates must possess relevant experience in Quality Management or similar, as well as having experience in ISO9001, certification management. In addition, candidates should have audit experience, preferably with experience of auditing management system and or operational control frameworks.
This role is offered with flexible working arrangements – the candidate is welcome to work remotely where appropriate but must be able to travel to Blairgowrie as required.
