Our client is a £multi million turnover fresh food manufacturer with a blue chip portfolio of customers in the multiple retail sector, and a first class reputation for quality and innovation.

With a track record of sustained growth, the company is now looking to strengthen its senior team further with the role of:

 Head of Operations, Central Scotland, attractive salary and benefits.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for two manufacturing sites employing over 400 people. You will lead the functional teams to deliver first class standards of products and service levels to demanding retail customers, while maximising efficiency to ensure stretching sales, profit and cost targets are met.

An experienced people manager and effective senior team member, you will develop the team to achieve high standards of performance, while operating as an effective member of a small and dynamic senior team, working with CEO and functional heads to deliver quality results in a fast moving commercial environment.

The Candidate

You will be an energetic, hands-on manager with a strong track record in senior management within fresh food processing, and with experience of working with major multiple retail customers.

You will have in depth experience and knowledge of modern manufacturing processes including Lean, and will show a strong record of results in driving efficiency and productivity.

You will have excellent communication skills, both internally and with customers, and you will be accustomed to operating effectively in a dynamic commercial environment.
