Head of Category Management

London or East Midlands based

Our client is a well-established, growing and progressive organisation looking to appoint their new Head of Category.

Reporting directly to the Procurement Director, the role will be focused on developing and leading strategic sourcing programmes for all categories, taking the lead on specific/allocated portfolio of sourcing categories as well as contributing significantly to the delivery of allocated procurement projects within key markets.

This role is very robust and requires a forward thinking, commercial minded individual with very strong interpersonal skills and experience of working at a similar senior strategic level.

Significant and advanced procurement knowledge is a must, as are leadership skills. The postholder will also be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or appropriate professional institute or relevant experience.
