The Carrick Centre is a community led organisation established in 2009 at the heart of the North Carrick community. The Ayrshire based Centre was established to co-create new community facilities, services and projects. It is a safe, warm, welcoming and inclusive place with a sustainable environment.

The Centre operates as an independent charity, merging two local churches to create a community space that works for everyone of all age groups and faiths. This includes promoting healthy living, volunteering, and lifelong learning through a range of connected spaces: a café, gym, conference and event space, and nursery plus a youth wing and a training kitchen. The latter supports the training of people into the hospitality industry.

The Carrick Centre have created a new post and wish to appoint a new General Manager. The General Manager will lead the management and operational structure of the organisation and develop a post-pandemic recovery plan. There will be a focus on a long-term financial and marketing strategy and development of diverse income streams. The aim is to secure the future of the training kitchen and other facilities and services.

The ideal candidate will be a senior management professional with a third/public sector background. They will have experience working within community led/ community development organisations with innovative ideas and drive to further the Carrick Centre’s mission. They will be experienced in developing funding initiatives, income streams or working with grants. As a strong decision maker, they will also be financially competent.

With a new Chair at its helm, 2022 looks to be an exciting time to join the Carrick Centre. If would like a further discussion, please get in touch with Kate Kennedy or Debbie Shields on 0141 212 7555.
