Muirhouse Housing Association is a Registered Social Landlord that provides 570 homes to tenants in the North of Edinburgh. MHA aim to deliver quality, affordable homes and services for the local community. MHA are pleased to be appointing a new Finance Officer to oversee financial transactions and manage daily financial processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation during a dynamic growth phase with an expanding team. There is an abundance of opportunity for fresh ideas and new challenges for the post holder who will join the team in driving the delivery of quality community housing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day delivery of the finance function for the organisation. They will ensure successful the management of all organisational finances and will play a key role in ensuring high quality support is provided to customers and stakeholders. The Finance Officer will work closely alongside the Corporate Services Manager to be a key figure in helping the organisation achieve strategic objectives related to finance. The role is advertised on a part time basis of 21 hours per week with flexibility to increase to around 28hrs/week if desired.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a role delivering finance services. A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential where there is equivalent experience. Direct RSL experience is not essential although transferability to the sector must be demonstrated in application. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and comfortable working in a small team to deliver big outcomes.
