Wishaw & District Housing Association (WDHA) are looking for an energetic Finance Manager to lead the finance team.

WDHA is a community based housing association which was established in 1978, the result of a joint initiative between Motherwell District Council and the Housing Corporation Scotland. The association has delivered a number of developments since 1990 building up to a stock of 973 homes whilst providing excellent services to their tenants.

This is a fantastic time to join WDHA. The association is currently in a period of transition and improvement; we are recruiting for 3 management posts which includes this role, a Maintenance and Asset Manager and a Corporate Services Manager. This role will be part of a new ambitious management team, assisting the Chief Executive in implementing the business plan.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the role will be responsible for the overall financial management of the Association. This includes budgeting and expenditure monitoring, reporting on financial performance to the Chief Executive and Board, as well as ensuring the Association fulfils its financial duties as required by law, regulators and auditors. Working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders, you will provide support to corporate strategic planning and governance.

The appointed candidate will have the drive to improve processes and inspire change. They will posses a relevant accountancy qualification, will be experienced in preparing statutory accounts and will have a positive track record of managing finance teams.
