The Incommunities Group is an ambitious and progressive organisation with a focus on delivering profit for a purpose. We are one of the largest housing associations in the UK, with more than 21,300 properties, an annual turnover of approximately £100 million and around 1100 employees. It’s clear that our vision ‘Improving lives Incommunities’ is having a huge impact on providing great homes in great neighbourhoods and helping people build better lives for themselves. To continue our advancement towards achieving our strategic objectives, we are seeking to appoint a Director of Financial Services.

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Executive of Resources, as an active member of the Resources Director’s team, joining the Group’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this post is responsible for ensuring all financial services are viable, flexible, responsive and adaptable whilst at all times maintaining the financial integrity of the business.

In March of this year we were successful in securing a major refinancing package with a £250 million public bond issue which followed our A+ investment grade rating from S&P Global. This is an exciting time to join our Housing Association as this success enables us to meet all of our future funding requirements.  We have the financial strength to deliver our strategic objectives and more.

As our Director of Financial Services you will provide financial information, reports and expert advice to the Assistant Chief Executive of Resources, SLT and lead on the operational delivery of all financial and treasury services. You will lead the Financial Services Directorate, including managing the team of 30, ensuring there are efficient and effective working practices, sound financial procedures and will take responsibility for the leadership and direction of colleagues.

The successful candidate will uphold the ethics and values of the organisation and demonstrate integrity, leadership and drive. They will be a professionally qualified accountant with a track record of managing financial functions at a senior level, managing a large financial team and experience of presenting complex financial transactions, policies and strategies to Directors and Boards.

The Incommunities Group is a dynamic, forward thinking organisation with a long term strategy to expand and grow. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step up, develop their career or to make a difference to this successful, evolving and innovative organisation.
