Fife Housing Group is an ambitious, forward thinking organisation, committed to providing quality, affordable housing to tenants throughout Fife. One of the largest independent housing associations in Scotland, with more than 2500 properties in Fife and an annual turnover of around £12 million, we employ 58 colleagues at our office in Dunfermline and, as a major provider of homes to those in greatest housing need, play an increasingly important part in helping Fife residents lead the lives they want to lead.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, as a member of the Business Leadership Team, this post is responsible for the Governance, ICT, Risk Management and Financial capacity of the Group, required to support the effective delivery of an excellent tenant and customer focused service. The Director of Finance and Governance will also provide the leadership required within the Finance and Governance Team and the wider organisation to maximise our potential as a high performing organisation and embody our brand values by being consistently accountable, firm but fair, open, honest and versatile.

As well as having vast experience working in financial roles, including the production of financial statements to SORP requirements and the management of large budgets/operations within tight financial circumstances, the successful candidate will be strategic, innovative, highly motivated and goal orientated with comprehensive people management experience and demonstrable project management experience. You should have a successful track record of developing key targets in the area of planning and performance management as well as previous involvement with company business plans and strategies. Whilst not essential, an appreciation of the political context and the framework for housing policy would be advantageous, as would knowledge of charity law and voluntary sector regulations.
