The University has decided to bring together a number of its outward facing functions into a new Directorate; this will be a fully integrated service to oversee, support, integrate and manage their external relationships, whilst shaping and delivering the internal communications and relationships necessary to improve their external relations and impact.

Abertay University are now looking to appoint a Director of External and Corporate relations to lead this new Directorate. 

This challenging and exciting position presents an excellent opportunity for a creative and ambitious individual. The Director will provide strong and effective leadership whilst supporting the delivery of our strategic priorities, with particular emphasis on the recruitment of students from other parts of the UK and worldwide.   As a member of the Senior Management Group the Director will work closely with the University’s Executive, ensuring that their principles, purpose and brand identity are promoted across the University and to the wider world. 

Strong commercial acumen, highly developed communication skills and significant experience of strategically managing one or more of the service areas associated with this post are key.  Proven budgetary and financial experience is also required.
