Stair Estates, lying in South West Scotland, is one of Scotland’s largest privately owned estates with a wide variety of business interests and an excellent reputation for Environmental protection, Diversity and as a Landlord., operated by the Earl of Stair and Family Trusts. The Estate is split into five different business units which are managed on a long term basis to the highest standard.

Reporting to the Earl of Stair and being responsible for the majority of day to day activities of the estate, the role will include working alongside the Earl and the Countess of Stair in dealing with in hand farming interests at Balker Farms, Lochinch Castle, Holiday Accommodation business, and developing the Castle Kennedy Gardens which has plans for a new visitor centre.

You will have a proven track record of managing assets within a property/rural estate background, which extends to understanding the key influencers and dynamics which impact property ownership. You will have project management skills and a proven ability to implement a strategy and deliver this across the whole business. Strong financial, operational and leadership skills which extend to being able to work with experts and the advisors and consultants retained by the business are required.
