West of Scotland Housing Association has over 50 years’ experience of providing quality, affordable social housing in communities throughout the West of Scotland. We are an ambitious and innovative organisation that will deliver 500 new homes over the next three years. As part of our development programme we have committed to delivering homes built to Passivhaus standard and improving specifications to ensure we meet the needs of older people and those suffering from dementia as they continue their journey living comfortably within our homes. We are also committed to improving our existing homes and have in place plans to invest c£30million in repairs and maintenance over the next five years

We have an ambitious vision for the future and are now looking to recruit a Director of Development and Asset Management to support us to deliver these ambitions. Reporting to the CEO as part of the Corporate Management Team, you will contribute directly to the Association’s key strategic objectives. You will take forward our growth agenda, delivering our Development Strategy and ensuring we provide homes built to the highest possible standards. You will also deliver our Asset Management Strategy ensuring our maintenance and factoring services provide value for money and excellent customer satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with our tenants and partners and play a key role in ensuring the Association provides a fully integrated service throughout our communities.

You will possess a relevant professional qualification with experience at senior level of developing, leading and delivering a comprehensive development strategy, responsive, planned, cyclical maintenance, void repairs and factoring service. You will also have a working knowledge of building, construction, housing regulations, legislation, regulation and current best practice. The successful candidate will be a proven leader who is flexible, adaptable to change, confident, assertive and committed to finding new and innovative ways of delivering excellent services to all our customers. You will be able to meet demanding personal and team deadlines and demonstrate excellent negotiation skills.
