Glasgow Clyde College is a multi-campus college with three sites across Glasgow in Anniesland, Cardonald and Langside. The College was formed in August 2013 following the merger of Anniesland, Cardonald and Langside Colleges.

CLERK TO THE BOARD
Salary: £45,848 (pro rata)
Location: Cross Campus. There will be an expectation for the successful candidate to travel and work within all campuses.

This vital and exciting role provides support and advice to the Board of Glasgow Clyde College and to its Committees.  The Clerk will advise the Board on all aspects of its role as the College’s governing body responsible for developing the strategic direction of one of Scotland’s largest and most innovative colleges.

Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board of Management, you will organise Board and Committee business, providing independent advice on governance issues to ensure compliance with regulations and support best practice at all times. 

You will ensure that the Board operates effectively and efficiently, and have a thorough knowledge of the legal and constitutional framework governing Boards of Management in Scottish colleges. Excellent planning and organisational skills, attention to detail, a proactive approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret related documentation and provide guidance to the Board are essential requirements for this role.

Hours of work will be part-time, averaging 2 days per week normally during term-time (with the opportunity to work flexibly from home), and you should; therefore, be able and willing to work variable hours, including evenings, to meet the requirements of the Board.
