Leisure & Culture Dundee are entering an exciting new phase with the reopening of the Olympia Centre, Dundee’s flagship leisure facility which will be equipped to provide high quality swimming and leisure facilities to local residents and visitors. Leisure & Culture Dundee was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information, and cultural services for the city and currently runs a number of key sports centres, pitches and outdoor facilities.

The Role

The Centre Manager is a senior role within the team which will lead the Olympia Centre and its development, building up a strong team ahead of opening at the end of the year. They will be accountable for the centres’ performance, meeting user and operational targets and ensuring quality service to Dundee’s residents and visitors. They will also manage key partnerships in the city, liaising with stakeholders across Leisure & Culture Dundee. Additionally, the manager will ensure that health and safety procedures within the centre are met and address accordingly.

Above all, you will be passionate about working across these activities and facilities to keep providing a customer-focused service.

The Ideal Postholder
This individual will have experience working and managing operational services, with pool-based experience and knowledge highly sought. You should have knowledge of working within multi-disciplinary environments and be a fantastic stakeholder, working internally with staff to liaise changes as well as experience of managing complex partnerships and relationships externally. You will be a self-motivator with the ability to work in a team, encourage teamwork and meet deadlines. You will have strong interpersonal skills, be diplomatic, adaptable, and willing to work flexibly.
