Welcome
Thank you for your interest in Glasgow North West Citizens Advice Bureau and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role. Established over 40 years ago, GNWCAB serves all residents impacted by injustice or poverty, by providing free, quality, impartial advice and by influencing change through campaigning and advocacy. Our valued staff and volunteers deliver responsive services that help build stronger, more connected communities.
We are proud members of the Citizens Advice Scotland network, representing the highest quality of advice and campaigning in defence of people’s rights across Scotland. Last year alone, GNWCAB delivered nearly 19,000 pieces of advice to over 5,000 clients, returning £3.8m of financial gains to the community. In spring 2026, we will relocate to purpose-built premises in the heart of Maryhill, offering a service that is inclusive, accessible, and sustainable for all clients.
At a moment of exciting strategic and physical renewal for the organisation, we are seeking a new CEO to lead GNWCAB with vision, authenticity, and compassion. You will build on the strength of our existing culture to lead a passionate team into the next phase of the organisation’s history as we move to a new home and evolve our approach to our fundraising model. Open communication and flexibility grounded in integrity will be at the heart of your work in this fast-paced organisation. The opportunity to lead strategic change across service delivery, premises, and fundraising will represent a fruitful challenge, supported by a strong, engaged board and an excellent organisational reputation.
If you are ready to step up to this exciting opportunity, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please read on to find out more about the role and the application and selection process.
