Thank you for your interest in the Disability Equality Scotland and our Chief Executive role.

Disability equality Scotland is one of Scotland’s leading disabled people’s organisations . We have been working to make Scotland more accessible and inclusive to disabled people for over 20 years.

At Disability Equality Scotland access is at the centre of all of our work. This means that we work across a wide variety of topics such as inclusive communication, accessible built environment and inclusive travel.

We are the umbrella organisation for Scotland’s network of access panels providing them with support and guidance to improve the lives of disabled people at a local level across Scotland.

We are a membership organisation and place the voice of our members at the heart of what we do through research and events. Through our membership and working alongside access panels we reach around 10,000 disabled people across Scotland. We work hard promote the views and needs of our membership to help drive a more accessible and inclusive Scotland.

Our mission is to give all disabled people in Scotland a voice with trust, care and empathy.

Over the last 4 years Disability Equality Scotland  has grown substantially and we are looking for someone who is excited by our vision and mission to lead the organisation in its next stage of development.
