We are excited to be working with SRUC to recruit a Director of Commercialisation and Innovation. This role will involve shaping, influencing and leading the development and implementation of an innovative, growth-focused commercialisation strategy across the breadth of the organisation, with a focus on the need to maximise the development of new products, intellectual property and services to attract new customers, partners and investors (including agri-tech companies), and to drive effective business diversification and income generation.

We are therefore seeking an individual with significant experience of increasing income generation and experience of being accountable to investors, funders and other stakeholders for the delivery of complex pieces of work. Excellent leadership and communication skills are key and you must have a proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with executive leadership, internal stakeholders and employees across all levels. Knowledge and understanding of education and research funding alongside knowledge of agriculture and the rural sectors are essential to be a good fit for this role.
