Williamsburgh Housing Association - CEO

About us

Williamsburgh Housing Association was established over 40 years ago and is a provider of affordable housing.  We own and manage more than 1,600 homes and provide factoring services to almost 600 more. We are committed to building more housing for rent and improving the communities we work in.

We are proud of our history as a developing landlord, being able to bring new build properties into our stock.  We are committed to not only continuing this much needed service but also to increase our capacity in our areas within Renfrewshire.

A Management Committee, elected from our membership, oversees the running and strategic direction of the organisation and meet regularly to review performance against our stated objectives.  Committee members come from a variety of backgrounds, bringing with them solid skill sets, enabling the Association to continue to deliver strong results.

Our staff of course play a central role in helping us to deliver on our priorities.  We have over 40 staff who are committed to the values of the organisation and who work hard each day to help us support tenants in a multitude of ways: helping tenants identify affordable properties suitable for their needs, arranging adaptations and modifications to help tenants stay in their homes and communities for as long as they are able, signposting to external agencies, and ensuring the properties are well maintained, safe and secure.

Scottish Housing Regulator

We are required to submit performance information to the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) throughout the year who, as part of their regulatory risk assessment, produce an engagement plan for every landlord in Scotland. Williamsburgh has been awarded a “Compliant” regulatory status which means that we meet regulatory requirements, including the Standards of Governance and Financial Management.
