The College is now looking to appoint a new Public Affairs and PR Manager who is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and execution of the college’s strategic position. The role includes corporate communications and campaign activity that helps reach target audiences and influencers. There is a strong emphasis on helping the position of the college in terms of local and national politics and delivering coordinated PR activities. The postholder is expected to be responsible for producing reports and position papers as well as associated media liaison.

The ideal candidate will come from a background in public relations, communications or related subject and should have at least 3 years’ experience in this field. They will have a track record and evidence of executing successful public relations campaigns and a strong understanding of the atmosphere surrounding local/national politics with an advantage of healthcare settings being highly desirable. While this role is apolitical, the right candidate should be familiar with and hold relationships with local and national media outlets and government officials.
