Fundraising Manager


This is an exciting opportunity to join a flexible and agile community organisation which works with children, young people and their families focusing on reducing poverty and increasing wellbeing, in the wider Wishaw area. I have now been with MADE4U for over 8 years, and I am particularly excited about this opportunity and it signifies a new season and time of growth for our organisation as look to employ our first fundraiser in-house and develop the role in its own right, rather than as a key function of my own role as CEO. I am looking forward to working with the post-holder to develop ideas, build strategy and put in place a fundraising plan, to make sure the critical work of MADE4U continues for many years to come. The role will serve as apart of a wider vision to put in place a senior management team.

We are especially interested in candidates who are looking for a positive challenge and to become part of the team; someone who will create and champion the next season of sustainability and impact for the charity. The role will look to both bolster income from our existing grants and trusts and develop new pipelines and partnerships which will grow this area of income. We are looking for an individual who has an interest in developing one or two other areas of our income stream, alongside the wider team, as we have the potential to grow in areas such as individual giving, major donors, etc.

MADE4U, a dynamic community organisation rooted in the ML2 area of North Lanarkshire, which was established in 2006 through the collaborative efforts and communal compassion of several local churches. With a primary focus on fostering opportunity, alleviating isolation, and cultivating a community-driven environment, MADE4U is committed to facilitating connection and supporting individuals in contributing to positive community change. MADE4U channels its efforts through community development and wellbeing initiatives, such as community cafes, money advice services, and befriending calls. The charity extends its support to children through active play, holiday hunger clubs, and youth drop-ins, as well as offering employability workshops in the community and local schools.

  • Offering a diverse array of over 18 activities, MADE4U provides essential services, including befriending calls, emergency food assistance, community cafes, men’s group activities, fuel referrals, and a benefit/money advice service.


  • Dedicated to supporting the entire family, MADE4U delivers impactful programs such as awards, active play, family activities, holiday hunger clubs, and provisions for Christmas and back-to-school.


  • For young people and their families, MADE4U operates youth drop-ins, engages in volunteering and employability work, collaborates with schools, and provides wrap-around support.


The Role

The role of Fundraising Manager holds a pivotal position within the senior management team, focusing on developing and implementing income generation strategies to ensure the long-term stability of MADE4U. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for implementing essential elements such as CRMs, scoping, processing, and developing a comprehensive Fundraising Strategy across the organisation. Key responsibilities encompass fundraising activities across various streams, including grants and trusts, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and events.

The ideal candidate should possess a background and knowledge of charity fundraising portfolios, demonstrate proficiency in the use of fundraising databases, and have solid experience working with grants and trusts. Effective management of corporate partnerships, sound business judgment, and experience in writing contracts, agreements, and complex applications are essential. Additionally, the candidate should be an excellent communicator and possess a broad understanding of the charity sector.

  • Salary Range: £37,447 – £42,750
  • The successful candidate will typically start at the lowest band, with potential for increases based on role progression and length of service.
  • Permanent contract, 21 hours a week – open to a variety of working options.
  • Hybrid working with flexibility to work remotely.
  • Flexibility to come to the Centre from time to time to work alongside the team.
