The Link group is committed to valuing people, providing homes, building communities and working together.

Link is one of Scotland’s largest social landlords providing services to more than 15,000 people. These include a variety of socially inclusive regeneration, housing and support services to those who need it most across Scotland.

The group has established itself as a pillar of support across multiple local authorities across Scotland, delivering a range of services including; affordable housing, property management, community investment, support, advice, financial inclusion and employability services. Link is currently in a period of significant growth with 3,000 new homes to be developed in the next 5 years.

The passion and enthusiasm of the 1,000 staff, volunteers and board members has helped Link become a sector leader, its people embrace the vision and values whilst aiming for excellence. Link’s vision is to be a provider of choice and excellence in the delivery of a wide range of socially inclusive regeneration, housing and support services.

The Link group comprises seven companies which are managed through three directorates; People and Communities, Building Success, and Corporate Wellbeing.


People and Communities

The People and Communities directorate is responsible for the design and delivery of high-quality housing services to all tenants across the group. It also provides a range of housing, employability and support services for customers.

Within the People and Communities directorate there are five organisations;

Link Housing Association is one of the largest organisations of its kind in Scotland. It is multi-faceted, providing quality services to tenants and owners living in various tenures. Link Housing Association is responsible for rented homes and sheltered housing, and has responsibility for the management of 7,000 tenancies. Link Housing also has an accredited advice service which provides customers with support on benefit claims, financial hardship and welfare issues. Link Housing manages the Customer Service Centre which responds to customer queries and provides an income collection service.

LinkLiving provides person-centred care and support services to people with a wide range of reasons for needing support, including mental health issues, homelessness, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and vulnerabilities associated with older age. LinkLiving also supports people who are experiencing significant transitions in their lives, such as young people leaving care or people who are at risk of homelessness. Service provision includes care at home and housing support services comprising accommodation-based and outreach support ranging from a few hours per week to 24/7 intensive support arrangements. LinkLiving’s service portfolio includes award winning volunteer and employability services in Falkirk, Fife and Edinburgh which have a proven track record in supporting people to develop their skills and confidence.

Horizon Housing Association promotes and provides affordable housing and services that enable people, irrespective of impairment, to live full independent lives in the community of their choice. Horizon owns or manages 878 properties in 12 local authority areas across the central belt, integrating housing to meet the specific needs of wheelchair users. Horizon also delivers factoring services and Care and Repair services on behalf of West Lothian, and providing advice and assistance to more than 4,000 older and disabled homeowners annually.

Larkfield Housing Association is a community-based Registered Social Landlord based in Greenock. Larkfield owns and manages over 1,000 properties, including Link Group’s tenancies in Inverclyde. Larkfield is committed to providing quality affordable homes and services that meet local needs and support the regeneration of its communities.

West Highland Housing Association operates in Lorn and the Inner Hebridean Islands where it owns or manages 787 houses. West Highland Housing Association is committed to providing and maintaining high quality, affordable housing that meets local needs and supports and helps fragile communities in the Argyll and Bute area. Working in partnership with Argyll and Bute Council, the Scottish Government, Link Group and others to continue to contribute to broader aims of developing sustainable rural communities.


Building Success

The Building Success directorate is responsible for commercial operations of Link Group. Existing operations include:

Private Sector Initiatives manages the Scottish Government’s Help to Buy and Open Market Shared Equity Schemes and provides factoring and property management services to Link-owned homes as well as delivering contracts in the private sector including the Private Sector Leasing scheme on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council.

Link Property is the governing subsidiary for Link’s in-house trades team. Link Property is non-charitable and provides property maintenance services across the group. It also provides support to our environmental engagement project Linkscape.

The Development team is responsible for the design and delivery of Link’s ambitious development and regeneration program, which will provide over 3,000 new homes in the next 5 years.

Link Property will rebrand to C~urb (pronounced curb) in April 2022.

Delivering a range of property development, maintenance and management services, one of the main drivers for C~urb is sustainability, both in terms of how we work and the communities we build.


Corporate Wellbeing

The Corporate Wellbeing directorate is responsible for the delivery of Link’s corporate services with a strong focus on delivering excellent services to its customers, both internal and external. These services include Communications, Corporate Governance, Digital Services, Finance, Health and Safety, Human Resources, and Strategy and Business Support.
