The In Care Survivors Alliance is looking for a Deputy Alliance Director to lead Future Pathways’ Support Coordination Team, who support individuals who suffered abuse or neglect in the Scottish care system. Based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, the role involves managing support teams and driving innovative, evidence-led approaches to improve outcomes for survivors. This values-driven leader will work with the Scottish Government and partners to ensure tailored, relational support that fosters confidence, hope, and independence, while contributing to the service’s legacy of transformative care across Scotland.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Health and Social Care, Social Work, or an equivalent qualification, though an SVQ Level 4 with relevant experience is also acceptable. They must have up-to-date knowledge of child and vulnerable adult protection and ideally have suicide prevention training (e.g., ASIST). This compassionate leader will have extensive experience working with individuals facing trauma, institutional care, and personal challenges, and will focus on empowerment, personal outcomes, and continuous improvement in line with statutory frameworks. They must demonstrate professionalism, resilience, and the ability to foster partnerships while driving service development and continuous improvement in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
