The University of Dundee, independent and leading the way in ‘real world research’ since 1967, are proud to be recruiting an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, in partnership with Aspen People.

The selected individual will join a forward-thinking, modern university located in eastern Scotland. The University of Dundee are passionate in their efforts to improve equality, diversity and inclusion both within and outside of their university campus. The University has been awarded a bronze award by both the Race Equality Charter and the Athena Swan gender equality charter. They are also members of Stonewall, promoting equality in the workplace for LGBTQI+ individuals, demonstrating their current commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion as an institution. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is one of the key strands of the new University Strategy 2022-2027 and this role provides an exciting opportunity for a passionate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion officer to be involved in the new University Strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist support, advice and undertaking specific tasks and projects relating to the development, effective delivery of the University’s equality, diversity and inclusion objectives. With a strong commitment and awareness to equality, diversity and inclusion, the candidate should have demonstrable experience of working successfully in an equality, diversity and inclusion role, possess in-depth knowledge of the relevant Scottish and UK equalities legislation, the ability to write and produce reports for the Scottish Specific Duties (2012), analyse and interpret complex data, and a proven track record of managing equality, diversity and inclusion issues, you will contribute towards ensuring that equality, diversity and inclusion is mainstreamed into all the University functions for both staff, students and visitors.
