Resources Committee – 1 vacancy

The primary function of the Committee is to assist the Board in its duty to supervise the broad direction of CIEH’s financial, commercial and digital affairs and advise the Board on CIEH’s financial sustainability.
The key responsibilities of the Committee are to:
– Review the financial, commercial and technology strategies for CIEH and make recommendations thereon to the Board
– Review annual business plans and budgets and make recommendations thereon to the Board
– Review financial, commercial and technology performance against plan and budget

There is ONE committee vacancy.
This committee vacancy is only open to non-members of CIEH. We have identified some roles as being open to non-members only.  This is to broaden the depth of expertise across our Committees to those who may not have an environmental health background.
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Committee Member, bringing strong expertise in business development, income generation, and digital learning.
This role is ideal for a strategic commercial leader who understands how to design, scale, and monetise flexible and online learning solutions, and who can help drive sustainable growth through digital innovation.

Environmental Health Services Committee – 4 vacancies

This Committee has responsibility for oversight and scrutiny of the development of professional membership and qualification framework, standards and related codes of conduct and ethics, membership services, policy, public affairs and research. The Committee is guided by the public interest in all of its decisions and recommendations.
The terms of reference of the Committee are to recommend plans to the Board in respect of:
– Professional membership and qualification framework, Registration, standards and related codes of conduct and ethics
– Membership services
– Policy and public affairs
– Research
– Monitor progress in respect of these plans and report on them to the Board
– Ensure that there are robust, transparent and fair policies in respect of all areas within the scope of the Committee.

There are 4 vacancies on this committee:

1. One academic in the field of environmental health or associated professions, (who may not be a member of the Board and who may or may not be a member of CIEH).
2. One person experienced in the field of membership services (who may or may not be members of CIEH.
3. One person experienced in the field of policy and public affairs (who may or may not be a member of CIEH).
4. One CIEH member only role (candidates need to be a CIEH member – any grade).
