Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association (WSHA) is a community-based Registered Social Landlord dedicated to providing quality homes and services to its tenants. Formally established in 1977, WSHA operates out of the Whiteinch Centre to provide around 1300 homes for rent alongside delivering a factoring service for around 600 domestic and commercial property owners. With its own factoring and estate management subsidiaries, WSHA is a comprehensive and dedicated organisation committed to the betterment of the local community.

From providing responsive services built to reflect the needs of the community, to meeting the maintenance and replacement demands of their homes, to seeking achievable development opportunities and participating in the regeneration of the local area, WSHA always strive for a better life for all in the community. Internally, WSHA continuously support and develop their staff to enable them to maximise their personal potential and to deliver the best possible service to their tenants and service-users.

WSHA are looking to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead the organisation into its next chapter. The successful candidate will be an approachable, communicative, and tenant-focused leader that will guide the organisation moving forward. With an evolution not revolution approach, the new Chief Executive will work with passion and commitment to uphold and improve the high level of service delivered by WSHA. They will develop and implement a strategic vision to forge the best structure and the best path for WSHA as it looks towards a bright future in the community.  The organisation is currently trying out a hybrid approach to working and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to and advise on the outcomes and possible future developments arising from this experiment.

As a candidate you will have substantial senior management experience with staff responsibilities and a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams through significant challenges and changes.  The Chief Executive will be responsible and accountable to the Committee of Management, providing thoughtful strategic and operational leadership ensuring the achievement of the organisational aims and values of WSHA.  Experience working with or at board or committee level is therefore essential for the fulfilment of the role. The role has further responsibility to the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) and so you will have a thorough and relevant knowledge of the general Scottish Social Housing environment including close understanding of the Regulatory Standards of Governance and Financial Management as issued by SHR.
