Harmeny Education Trust is a charity that provides care and education to remarkable children and young people from all over Scotland who’ve had a challenging start in life. Our therapeutic services enable children and young people to discover the wonders of childhood, and develop the skills and resilience they need to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

We are in a period of exciting and transformational change, as we extend our services and offer life-changing care and education to children and young people up to the age of 18. As part of this, we have fundraised over £3m for our new Learning Hub, which will be ready in October 2023 and used to deliver our secondary curriculum. We are also considering developing services to the wider community.

We are seeking a new Head of Finance to be part of our senior management team (SMT). The post-holder will have responsibility for the management and strategic development of our Finance, IT and Admin teams, ensuring that we meet our legislative and regulatory obligations in those areas, as well as best practice.

The Head of Finance will also develop financial and corporate strategy and will play a key role in managing and leading the core service, as well as supporting the growth of the organisation, working closely with the Education, Care, and Support Services teams to plan sustainable income generation.
